Installation of double flanges: The double-flange differential pressure level gauge consists of two flanges – the H flange at the high-pressure end and the L flange at the low-pressure end. The high-pressure end of the H-flange should be installed at the lower position, while the low-pressure end of the L-flange should be installed at the higher position ; The digital LCD display should be placed near the lower flange (this provides excellent long-term stability). The capillaries cannot be bent (silicone oil is contained inside them); any excess capillaries need to be coiled to prevent them from coming into contact with the tank (vibrations of the tank can affect the stability of the silicone oil, causing fluctuations in the displayed values). Since the front part of the flange is a diaphragm, special care must be taken to protect it during installation (scratches on the diaphragm can affect the linearity of the level gauge). Gaskets are used in conjunction with it to be installed on the equipment, thereby ensuring the sealing between the level gauge and the equipment. Be especially careful not to let the gasket press against the diaphragm. Severe issue troubleshooting: 1. It must be reset after installation, and also each time it is removed (refer to the above for the resetting method). 2. Precautions for zero adjustment after installation: If the distance between the flanges is 1 meter and the gauge reads -1000 MM, a fluctuation of 50 MM up or down is considered normal. If it reads +1000 MM, it means the flanges have been installed in the wrong order; in such a case, swap them immediately. If a value of -1100MM or more is displayed (with a flange spacing of 1 meter), please check the sealing gasket at the L-end of the upper flange; at this point, it is the upper diaphragm that is under stress, so verify whether the gasket is pressing on the diaphragm. If a value of -900MM or less is displayed (with a flange spacing of 1 meter), please check the sealing gasket at the H-end of the flange. At this point, it is the lower diaphragm that is under stress; therefore, verify whether the gasket is pressing on the diaphragm. 3. Coordination issue between the digital display and the PLC: For example, if the level gauge displays 1000 MM while the PLC shows 1500 MM, it means that the range corresponding to 4-20 MA on the PLC is greater than the range of the level gauge; in this case, the range value on the PLC should be reduced. If the gauge on the level meter shows 1000 MM while the PLC displays 500 MM, it means that the range corresponding to the 4-20 MA signal on the PLC is smaller than the range of the level meter; please increase the range value on the PLC. 4. If the digital display shows zero, while the PLC indicates that there is liquid present and the percentage gauge on the display shows a certain value, this proves that the display reading does not correspond to the actual situation; the level gauge actually has a numerical value. To resolve this issue, reset the device to its factory settings. The procedure is as follows: first, disconnect the power to the level gauge, then hold down the M key, and after that, reconnect the power to the gauge. Keep holding the M key until the screen displays 88888, followed by the word “OK”; once that happens, release the key. Finally, drain the liquid from the tank and reset the pressure. 5. After the installation is complete, upon feeding material, it is found that the data displayed on the level gauge is inaccurate, with a large error range and unstable readings; in such cases, please check whether the upper and lower diaphragms are damaged. If the liquid level during installation is normal, but after use it is found that the gauge shows incorrect readings, stop the machine and check whether the diaphragms on the upper and lower flanges are damaged, whether the pipes are blocked, or whether there is scaling on the diaphragms. If the pipes are blocked or the gauge is scaled, its accuracy will decline significantly; in severe cases, it may stop functioning altogether. 6. Try to place the level gauge as far away as possible from the forced circulation pump and various pumps and valves. When it is close by, the operation of the circulation pump exerts a pulling force on the diaphragm of the level gauge; this effect becomes more noticeable when the circulation pump is turned off. It also helps to prevent water flow from directly hitting the diaphragm, as this could cause sudden increases in pressure and lead to an overestimated reading of the liquid level. 7. Ultimate solution to the problem: If all of the above options are ruled out and the level gauge does not display values linearly, restore it to its factory settings and then reset it for use in a pressure-free state. If the issue persists, contact the manufacturer’s engineers to prepare for returning the device to the factory.
