I have been puzzled for a long time as to whether containers with jackets or coils qualify as pressure vessels. My own opinion is as follows; please point out any conflicts with relevant standards and regulations if there are any. Thank you. To determine whether a pure container qualifies as a pressure vessel, one only needs to refer to the definition of pressure vessels in the catalog of special equipment; there should be no disagreement on this point. Then the container body does not meet the definition of a pressure vessel; does the presence of a jacket or coils make the device considered a pressure vessel? So, it is necessary to check whether the jacket meets the definition of a pressure vessel (common media include steam, and in most cases it meets this definition); the jacket constitutes a pressure vessel. However, since the jacket is an integral part of the equipment, the entire equipment is considered a pressure vessel ; Check whether the coil meets the definition of a pressure vessel (common media include steam, and in most cases it does not meet this definition); therefore, the coil is not considered a pressure vessel. Next, determine whether the coil meets the definition of a pressure pipeline (in many cases it does). However, the coil and the equipment are usually considered as one unit, so the entire equipment is not classified as a pressure vessel. If the coil meets the definition of a pressure pipeline, but it forms part of a larger unit together with the equipment, is the coil then regulated as a pressure pipeline? (I’m not too sure about this.) Just trying to stimulate some discussion
The coil does not belong to it; the jacket does. You can take another careful look.

If the cross-sectional area of the equipment is greater than 150 mm and its volume is greater than 30 L, and all these conditions are met, then it is a pressure vessel.
For coiled tubes, it’s necessary to consider the cross-sectional dimensions; generally, 159 tube sizes are not used. If 159 tubes or those with a larger diameter are used and they meet the requirements for pressure vessels, then they must be treated as pressure vessels subject to supervision and inspection
Peripheral devices that provide the conditions for a reaction can be considered such as long as they meet the pressure and volume specifications; otherwise, they are not! But safety is of utmost importance, so strict supervision can be understood!
