Dear teachers, PL flanges and SO flanges are available in two versions based on the weight category: those with chamfers on the back side and those without chamfers, as indicated by circles (g) and (c) in the diagram. (g) – PL flanges with chamfers: these are considered standard flanges; (c) – SO flanges without chamfers: these are considered loose flanges. According to the text and legend in the screenshot, is it correct to classify PL and SO flanges with chamfers as standard flanges, and those without chamfers as loose flanges?

Welds are divided into butt welds and fillet welds; in the diagram, a groove has been made at G, so it can be considered a combination of a butt weld and a fillet weld. Both welds in C are fillet welds.
