However, in foreign projects, the clients require that the grounding posts be 510 mm above the ground level. As for the saddles, such a high height is not required – some of them do not meet this standard – and the clients’ opinion is that the higher, the better. What I understand is that the grounding post shouldn’t be close to the ground; should the conductive material be shorter? Being high above the ground and close to the cylinder means faster conductivity? How should the height of this grounding post be determined?

If the owner has specific requirements (such as the 510mm you mentioned), those requirements should be respected, provided that this height does not violate local safety regulations and standards. The function of the grounding post is to provide a safe and reliable grounding point to ensure the safe operation of the electrical system as well as personal safety; height is not the main factor determining the conductivity rate. The conduction speed is related to factors such as the electrical conductivity of the material and the overall design of the grounding system.
