Safety valve: Is this hole for draining water or exhaust gas? What is its function? Do I need to seal it?
The hole on the safety valve is used for venting air, and its purpose is to prevent damage to the equipment caused by excessive pressure. This hole should not be blocked to ensure the proper functioning of the safety valve. .
This is on the outside of the valve core; it does not affect the safety valve, but I’m not sure what the purpose of this hole is.
I understand that when the spring is compressed, this hole is used for exhaust; otherwise, the air inside the chamber gets compressed, which affects the accuracy of the pressure and has an impact on the operation of the safety valve
