On April 21, Lansi Heavy Equipment’s Qingdao branch completed the construction of the hydrogenation reactor for the second stage of Zhejiang Petrochemical Co., Ltd.’s 3.5 million tons per year diesel hydrocracking unit expansion project – a reactor with a wall thickness of 226 millimeters. This marked an important milestone in production; the first unit was finished three months ahead of schedule, setting a new record for the fastest production time for such equipment. The project features 2 hydrogenation reactors, each with a diameter of 5 meters, a length of 36 meters, and a wall thickness of 226 millimeters. During operation, the equipment must function in a complex environment characterized by high temperatures, high pressures, and high hydrogen concentrations; this demands materials with excellent resistance to hydrogen corrosion and high strength. Its internal structure is intricate, which makes manufacturing it quite challenging.
