I’m referring to G, 6.13 – this is taken from ASME82, Section 4.11.3.3. The requirements there deal with determining the welding method for the \"seals\" of jacketing systems, and it has at most a minor relevance to semi-tube jackets. Volume 81 doesn’t have this restriction. With these new restrictions in place, it means that for containers made of Q345R with a thickness of 60 mm or less, as well as containers made of Q370 in any thickness, and many other materials, if they have semi-tube jackets, then 4732 must be used for finite element calculations! I only noticed this bullshit condition while working on the half-pipe calculation sheet today.

Looking at clause G4.3.4 f is just disgusting; I don’t even know how to carry it out
