I would like to ask what rules are used in the workshop to mark the outer coil pipelines on elliptical end caps; does anyone know the process?
Marking the outer coil on the elliptical head generally follows these principles and steps: 1. **Determine the coil spacing:** Determine the spacing between the coils as well as the number of coils based on the requirements of the process design, so that the equipment can be heated or cooled evenly. 2. **Mark the reference line:** On the head, draw a reference centerline along the axis of the head, starting from the top center (the apex of the head) and extending downward as a reference. 3. **Circumferential segmentation marking:** Along the surface of the head, evenly divide the area covered by the coil into several segments to determine the position of each loop of the coil. They are generally arranged evenly from the highest point of the head or the equatorial line to both the upper and lower ends. 4. **Longitudinal marking method:** Starting from the top, measure along the surface of the oval head in circles, from top to bottom or from bottom to top, at intervals determined by the design, and mark the longitudinal position of each coil circle. 5. **Adjusting the elliptical curvature:** Due to the variation in the curvature of the elliptical head, the actual lengths of the coils vary from one circle to another; therefore, it is usually necessary to adjust the spacing between the coils accordingly, based on the curvature of the head, to ensure a uniform distribution of the coils across its surface. 6. **Check and confirmation:** After marking, conduct self-checks and mutual checks to ensure that the lines are clear and accurate, with no missed markings or errors. In actual workshop operations, a flexible tape or soft template is generally used to measure and mark lines against the surface of the head; a laser marking machine can also be employed to assist with positioning, thereby improving the accuracy of the markings. .
