What is the minimum nominal diameter for 6kg steam industrial pipes that does not classify them as pressure pipes?
According to the definition in ASME B31.1, pipes with a nominal diameter of less than 1/2 inch (12.7 mm) are not considered pressure pipes. Therefore, if the nominal diameter of a 6 kg steam industrial pipeline is less than 1/2 inch, it is not considered a pressure pipeline. However, it should be noted that even if such pipelines are not considered pressure pipelines, their design and installation must still comply with relevant safety standards and regulations. .
According to the catalog of special equipment, those with a diameter of DN50 or less are not considered pressure pipelines.
There are many steam drums made using DN150 pipes; whether these qualify as pressure vessels depends on their inner diameter, but they must meet the requirements for pressure pipelines.
