Recently, the raffinate tower, which is part of a key project undertaken by Lu’an Huaji, was successfully manufactured and delivered to the client. The diameter of this raffinate tower is 14.1 meters, its height is 122 meters, the maximum wall thickness is 140 mm, and its weight is 3,700 tons – making it the largest raffinate tower in the world. The raffinate tower is a key equipment in petrochemical aromatic compound production facilities; it uses distillation or fractionation processes to separate the heavier components in mixed liquids (such as non-aromatics), thereby extracting high-purity aromatics (such as benzene and xylene) for use in manufacturing chemical products like plastics and fibers. During the manufacturing process, due to the extreme difficulty in constructing the stripping tower and the tight delivery deadlines, the on-site staff dedicated themselves fully to the production tasks, strictly controlled product quality, and continuously optimized the production scheduling plan, which significantly increased the delivery speed. The delivery was completed in just 6 months, laying a solid foundation for the early operation of the project.
