On January 12, news came in from the Qiaoyuan nuclear power project site operated by Sinopec Qiyun Company: the first major lifting task related to this engineering project – the lifting of Module 1 of the nuclear island’s steel lining – was completed successfully. This marked Sinopec Qiyun Company’s first lifting operation on a nuclear power project. The steel lining module 1 lifted this time is the largest-diameter equipment of its kind ever lifted by Petroshipping Company to date. The project team strictly followed the plan, first conducting comprehensive load tests on the lifting system to thoroughly verify its safety and reliability, thereby removing the technical obstacles to the actual lifting operation. At 7 a.m. on January 12th, the lifting command was given on time, and the XGC28000 crawler crane lifted the load smoothly. Standardized management of security zones is implemented on-site, with all project members and various collaborating units working closely together in an organized manner. After 2 hours and 15 minutes of precise and steady operation, at 9:15 a.m., the steel lining module 1 was accurately lowered to the designated foundation and successfully placed in position, marking the high-quality completion of this critical lifting task. The successful completion of this lifting operation not only marks a significant breakthrough for Petrochem Shipping Company in lifting projects within the nuclear power construction sector, but it also provides valuable experience and a solid technical and managerial foundation for the lifting of subsequent large-scale modules. More importantly, it has strongly promoted in-depth cooperation between Sinopec and CGN, the two major energy groups, in the field of nuclear power construction; it represents a key step taken by the company to actively integrate into the strategic transformation of the energy structure and to contribute to industrial upgrading.
