Have any of you sea friends seen a partition structure like this?
Diaphragms and threaded lock rings are common in high-pressure heat exchangers
High-pressure heat exchangers: with such thin partition plates, how is it possible for them to withstand the stresses?
The tube side is at negative pressure, while the shell side is designed for a pressure of 0.6
Whether it can withstand the pressure depends on the pressure difference between inlet and outlet; it has nothing to do with whether it is a high-pressure vessel

This structure is generally not used; it is only employed when the piping for the inlet and outlet of the heat exchanger needs to be on the same side. Some so-called experts in China copy designs from foreign equipment without understanding their purpose. This structure is also used when the inlets and outlets are on opposite sides, as if it were some kind of advanced solution
I agree with you; due to the requirements of the manufacturing process, the inlets and outlets of this device are located on one side of the tube box
That’s right. What is a concern, however, is that when the heat exchanger starts up, the other side of the split diaphragm is still filled with fluid, and there is pressure on that side – could the diaphragm deform or fail as a result?
Are there any books or papers that explain the principles of this structure?
