I recently built a gas-to-gas heat exchanger; I would appreciate everyone’s feedback on whether there are any issues with it.
The pressure at the inlet is low, and the K value is small; it’s okay. I’m not sure if there’s any phenomenon of temperature crossover, 20-230, 350-150.
You are dealing with the flue gas heat exchange of the boiler, right? The pressure is absolute pressure
Where is this software from? What’s the price?
Is there a requirement regarding the voltage drop? The flow rate of the gas isn’t very good
Annual usage fee: around 48W.
When the temperature difference across the shell side is large, this factor needs to be taken into account in the heat exchanger design
You’ve chosen the wrong type; why use a shell-and-tube design? I really don’t understand it. For heat exchange of gases at atmospheric pressure, either a plate-type or a tube-type design will work fine. In fact, the heat transfer coefficient in this case is even lower than that of natural convection
