What are the main factors to consider when choosing between tubular air coolers and plate air coolers? 1. Plate-type air coolers are expensive. 2. Tubular air coolers require more space and are heavier. 3. Pressure drop: plate-type air coolers have a higher pressure drop. 4. When designing and selecting air coolers, in terms of the cooling temperature difference, the exit temperature of the heat transfer medium in tubular air coolers should be at least 15 degrees higher than the maximum allowable temperature drop for air; for plate-type air coolers, this temperature difference can be set lower – by how much? What is generally the temperature difference between the outlet temperature of the heat transfer medium and the maximum ambient wet-bulb temperature? 5. The maximum ambient wet-bulb temperature affects the selection of dry air coolers; as for wet air coolers, what determines their selection – the temperature at which air becomes saturated? 6.
