As shown in the image, the technicians said that the dimension on the far left, which is 50, was chosen to facilitate TOFD testing; a value that small makes it difficult to operate the equipment properly. May I leave 150 rows for this size? Will it affect the tube sheet strength? When calculating the tube sheet in SW6, only the nominal thickness of 400 needs to be entered, which seems not to reflect any potential issues.
It can’t be calculated that way, right? Then the effective thickness on your side is only 350
The nominal thickness for the tube sheet calculation is 400, right? That should be correct.
