May I ask if there is a limit on the diameter of floating-head heat exchangers? Is a 3-meter diameter acceptable? Are there any relevant regulations specifying diameter limits, maximum and minimum diameters, or have relevant papers discussed that the diameter should not be too large?
The diameter of floating-head heat exchangers is limited; the maximum size currently available is D1800.
Currently, due to limitations in domestic flange sealing technology, the diameter is generally limited to no more than 1800 mm; exceeding this size makes sealing difficult.

It’s not specified. The manufacturer will advise you not to choose a heat exchanger longer than 1800mm.
I have designed DN2400 floating-head heat exchangers.
Standard floating-head heat exchangers can only reach DN1800; custom designs should also be possible, but many factors need to be taken into consideration!
