This is a dilute nitric acid preheater. If the feed rate is 9 m³/h and the opening of the steam control valve is around 20%, but the load decreases and the valve is adjusted to 60-70% yet the outlet temperature still doesn’t rise – what could be the reason? 0.3 MPa steam is used.
If it’s a new device, check whether the installation location and orientation of the steam trap are correct.
The flow rate is low, the velocity is slow, so the heat exchange efficiency naturally decreases significantly; simply increasing the amount of air intake doesn’t help much
It depends on the equipment structure and process configuration. For example, in a horizontal configuration with flow from top to bottom or from bottom to top, if the load is low, is it possible for some of the heat exchange tubes to be empty? Isn’t the actual heat exchange area that much? It’s not clear what the structure of your equipment is or its configuration, so it’s difficult to draw any conclusions.
But I can lift it under high load.
Steam enters from above and exits from below. Materials enter from below and exit from above. It can operate at high loads, and it can also work at low loads; but at some intermediate load level, it simply doesn’t function.
