I would like to ask whether, in a coiled tube heat exchanger, the tubes are only covered with sleeves in the straight sections, while there are no sleeves at the elbow parts; in this case, the welds remain exposed, eliminating the risk of the fluid inside the pipes leaking into the jacket? Is that so? Could someone who knows tell me?
Is this a jacketed tube type? In a coiled-tube heat exchanger, the internal heat exchange tubes are coiled, which poses a risk of leakage. This possibility exists even in shell-and-tube heat exchangers as well. The best approach is to try to ensure airtightness during construction; if required, monitoring points should be installed
