Hello Haiyou: My company has a heat exchanger with a surface area of 30 square meters. DCP (propylene glycol) is used in the tube side, while water at 70 degrees Celsius is used on the shell side. This heat exchanger has been in use for over 2 years, and now leaks have been detected in the tubes; the material of these tubes is 304. What could be the cause of this? Please help me analyze it, thank you
There are other ingredients in propylene glycol, right?
The process uses DCP (propylene glycol); could this propylene glycol contain trace amounts of catalyst that have not been completely removed? Hot water at 70 degrees flows in the shell side; is this hot water deionized water? Test its acidity or alkalinity.

Is it a leak at the welding site of the tube sheet and tubes, or is it a leak in the internal tubes?
