Known values: the temperature of the hot fluid, i.e., the boiler water, is 130°C, with a flow rate of 3.5 t/h and a pressure of 0.3 Map; the temperature of the cold fluid, i.e., the deoxygenated water, is 60°C, with a pressure of 4.5 Map. There is no limit on the flow rate of the cold fluid, and this parameter can be determined based on the efficiency of the heat exchanger. I want to design a heat exchanger to reduce the temperature of the hot medium to 70°C. How should this heat exchanger be calculated, designed, and selected? Please ask an expert to help answer it.
What is matter? Status? Specific heat? Viscosity!
The hot medium is the boiler water, and the cold medium is deoxygenated water.

Narrow and long in shape, but with good performance: Area: 22.88 m2; Weight: 1.15 t. 2. Aesthetically pleasing in appearance, but with slightly poorer performance: Area: 36.63 m2 ; Weight: 1.32 t. 3. It has an attractive appearance and excellent performance, but it has a large number of tube banks (4); Area: 21.87 m2 ; Weight: 0.863t.

At a glance, you can tell just how complex accurate calculations are. This screenshot isn’t the optimal design, but it’s still usable. We live in an era of standardized and modernized design; manual calculations are too rough and primitive. If you’re using a heat exchanger for your own purposes, no one will be checking your calculations ; If you are from a design institute or equipment manufacturer bidding on projects, manual calculation simply has no competitive edge under normal circumstances. Of course, manual calculation can be used as a learning method for the principles of heat exchangers.
