I see that in the same process, there is a plate heat exchanger ahead, followed by a tubular heat exchanger in series – why not use the same type of heat exchanger? It seems like the slab format has higher efficiency and so on
Plate heat exchangers do have high heat transfer efficiency, but they are only suitable for liquid-liquid heat exchange without phase change, and they are not appropriate for high-temperature and high-pressure systems.
