What to do if the high-pressure flange won’t hold tight
Is there no pressure beyond that? It’s either a gasket sealing issue or a bolt tightening torque issue, right?

If disassembly is required, it is recommended to replace the octagonal gasket; if disassembly isn’t necessary, simply stop work and replace the welding valve handle directly

Please specify the location, as well as what type of flanges, bolts, and gaskets are used, so that a solution can be provided. Is the large flange on the equipment a calculation issue? Is it still the issue with the matching of flanges, bolts, and gaskets?

As a further clarification, does the pressure rating of the flange meet the requirements?
If the octagonal gasket is not holding tightly, the flange can be disassembled and a thin layer can be scraped off using a polishing brush to check for rust or pitting. Then, tape should be wrapped around the octagonal gasket – several layers are possible – and butter should be applied to the flange surface; Standard wound gaskets: PTFE gaskets are directly wrapped with tape ; When tightening the bolts, do so symmetrically. If a hydraulic wrench is used, do not apply full pressure at once; instead, tighten them symmetrically while gradually increasing the pressure.
