In May 2025, at the construction site of the project to produce 500,000 tons of green methanol from green hydrogen at Inner Mongolia Goldwind Green Energy Chemicals (Xing’an League) Co., Ltd. (with Phase 1 capable of producing 250,000 tons), the conversion furnace – a key piece of equipment for the gasification process, manufactured by Lu’an Chemical Machinery Group (hereinafter referred to as Lu’an Chemical Machinery) – was lifted into place. This marked a breakthrough for Lu’an Chemical Machinery in the field of energy and chemical equipment manufacturing. As a key equipment for the gasification unit of this project, the manufacturing of the conversion furnace faces the dual challenges of tight delivery schedules and high requirements for process control accuracy. The team from Lu’an Huajie Gasification Equipment Branch adopted a task-focused approach, worked backwards from the deadline, established a three-level progress control mechanism, and optimized the production process, thereby ensuring that the equipment was delivered on time and to high quality. To address technical challenges such as the wide heat-affected zone and high dilution rate associated with conventional surfacing processes, which fail to meet the requirements for equipment process control, this team collaborated with various departments within the company to develop a new type of deposition (surfacing) process. This process enhances the corrosion resistance of the equipment, providing a \"protective barrier\" for its long-term stable operation. The commissioning of this conversion furnace further strengthens Lu’an Huaji’s technical advantages in the field of energy and chemical equipment manufacturing. Currently, the company is developing a technology platform centered on Jinhua’s coal water slurry gasification technology, integrating various gasification methods such as dry powder coal gasification, crushed coal gasification, and biomass gasification, in order to provide \"chemical engineering solutions\" for the green transition of energy. It is understood that the project for producing 500,000 tons of green methanol from green hydrogen (with 250,000 tons in the first phase) is being built by Inner Mongolia Goldwind Green Energy Chemicals (Xing’an League) Co., Ltd. The construction takes place in two phases and includes biomass power generation facilities, green methanol synthesis units, as well as various supporting infrastructure. Upon completion, the project is expected to reduce carbon emissions by over 300,000 tons per year. It serves as a model for Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region in adjusting and optimizing its energy structure, promoting high-quality development that is green and low-carbon, and facilitating the scaled development of the hydrogen energy industry chain.
