Can piston ring deformation be corrected? Additionally, the thickness of the newly purchased piston rings is greater than that of the original ones, and they need to be ground before installation. Will grinding affect the performance of the piston rings?
Piston rings are wear parts; they are replaced when deformed. If the ring is too large, removing it by grinding is time-consuming and laborious, but it does not affect its use.
