The attachment is an evaporative cooling galvanized coil; toluene vapor is inside the coil, and tap water used for spraying circulates to facilitate evaporative cooling. There is some corrosion on some of the pipes, but the rest are generally in good condition, still retaining their original galvanized coating.

The use of galvanized pipes in circulating water does not yield good long-term results, as the corrosion rate is relatively high. It is recommended to use a polymer anti-corrosion coating, as it can prevent corrosion and scaling.
Has chemicals been added to the cooling water? Is this the condition of the pipe at the bottom or at the top? Let’s compare the conditions of the two areas and the area in between first.
Is the tap water used for spraying water circulated and evaporated to cool down by continuously adding more water to it, without any regular replacement of the entire amount? Continuous addition leads to concentration; once the element content becomes high, a quantitative change can result in a qualitative change
Spend some money on stainless steel to control water quality; galvanizing carbon steel or using double anti-corrosion layers are not sustainable solutions. The evaporation process is also a form of corrosion, and exposure to the atmosphere leads to rapid corrosion
The corrosion is really severe; it seems like the material isn’t resistant to corrosion
Zinc-containing coatings are not suitable for humid environments; it is recommended to use anti-corrosion coatings that do not contain zinc powder and are suitable for marine conditions.
