The image below shows the corrosion condition of the steel structure covering the petrochemical wastewater tank; based on this corrosion level, it can be determined whether the structure still has any utility.
First, select a few points that are severely corroded, remove the rust from them, then measure the thickness to determine the amount of thinning, and based on that make a judgment. If it is load-bearing, load-bearing calculations are required; if it is not load-bearing, and the thickness reduction exceeds 1/2 of the original thickness, then it needs to be replaced.
