In our plant’s carbon dioxide-based urea production facility, a batch of urea containing humic acid was produced some time ago; the humic acid was added through the liquid outlet pipe in the evaporation section. After the proper-quality urea began to be produced, black urea particles could still be seen occasionally on the conveyor belt. How can we reduce the presence of this defective urea containing humic acid?
The device is not cleaned thoroughly during batch change.
Before performing the conversion, it’s best to lower the liquid level in the urea storage tank. Clean the top of the evaporation section using condensed liquid, replace the water at the inlet, clean the filter screen of the pump, and then circulate the fluid to increase its concentration; however, the level of dicyandiamide might rise as a result. These are the only solutions I can think of – just my personal opinion.

What we add is introduced at the inlet of the melting pump, where direct granulation takes place. The goal is mainly to reduce the amount of intermediate products formed during granulation, as well as those that form under the urine pan; it seems that manual cleaning is the only option in such cases
When removing the transitional products, just find an empty area to place them there separately – that’s how you handle defective items. It can be sold to my factory for use in manufacturing compound fertilizers. If the P content needs to be reduced, it’s sufficient to adjust the process parameters – that’s the only way.
