Urea price trends across China on September 9 Author/Source: Yuege Agri-Materials Website Date: 2019-09-09 Clicks: 12 The domestic urea market remains stable overall, with some manufacturers in Shandong region raising their prices slightly. A few factories have seen strong sales after recent price cuts; their order intake has improved significantly, and they are inclined to maintain their prices. Most factories, on the other hand, prefer to keep their prices stable; new orders are not coming in frequently, but they still have many orders from earlier periods that need to be shipped. The domestic urea market is experiencing fluctuations. Following the increase in urea prices, downstream purchases slowed down, new orders were few, and the market once again entered a state of stagnation and consolidation. Mainly, there is no significant change in market demand; increased production boosts supply levels, orders awaiting fulfillment by urea manufacturers decline, price support weakens, and the atmosphere for transactions in the market remains stagnant. The market is waiting for new positive developments to arise. It is reported that India may issue a new round of urea tenders in the near future, with a quantity of around 1 million tons, but it remains uncertain whether domestic companies will participate. There are no new discussions with potential exporters at this time. Shandong Hualu Hengsheng’s price for small particles is 1780, while that for large particles is 1910, an increase of 40 yuan. The price in the Linyi market is 1830; Hebei Dongguang’s price for small particles is 1770; Henan Xinlianxin’s price is 1800; Shanxi Fengxi’s price is 1720; Jiangsu Linggu’s price is 1880; Shaanxi Shanhua’s price for local sales is 1760, while the price for external sales is 1750; Inner Mongolia Boda’s price is 1560; Yuntianhua’s price is 1850; Sichuan Lutianhua’s price ranges from 1750 to 1800; Xinjiang Yankuang’s price is 1380. The prevailing ex-factory prices for small-grain urea in the Shandong region remain stable: Yangmei Pingyuan offers 1,755 yuan per ton, with no changes in price; Ruixing Chemical offers 1,820 yuan per ton, also with stable prices; Mingshui Chemical offers 1,900 yuan per ton, again with stable prices. Overall, the ex-plant prices of urea in Shandong region remain stable today, with actual transaction prices determined through negotiation. The enthusiasm for purchasing at the downstream end is moderate, and it is expected that urea prices will rebound after reaching their bottom.
