Tarim Petrochemical’s large-scale fertilizer production facility sets new record for longest continuous operation Author/Source: Dushanbe Online Date: 2022-03-15 Clicks: 25 On March 14, Tarim Petrochemical’s large-scale fertilizer production facility in Dushanbe entered its 409th day of continuous operation, thus setting a new record for the longest period of stable, uninterrupted operation since the facility was put into use 12 years ago. During this operation cycle, the Tarim Petrochemical Branch laid a solid foundation for the long-term stable operation of the fertilizer plant by carrying out research on long-duration operation technologies, implementing preventive equipment maintenance, and strengthening basic management efforts. Increase efforts in scientific and technological research to provide technical support for long-term operation. To address the bottlenecks that hinder the long-term operation of fertilizer production plants, regular technical improvement meetings were held, and 14 projects aimed at optimizing the overall operation of the plants were formulated and implemented. These efforts enabled the resolution of various critical issues one by one. By adopting methods to redistribute the load, the limitations on the operating power of the units were overcome, and the problem of insufficient gas supply at K421 was resolved. As a result, the production load remained stable at 102%, with the daily urea output staying above 2,600 tons, allowing for continuous and stable operation under high loads. Strengthening high-level equipment management lays a solid foundation for long-term operation. In line with the requirements of \"institutionalization, standardization, specialization, refinement, and informatization,\" proactive maintenance strategies are implemented to increase the proportion of preventive and predictive maintenance. Zero leaks of high-risk media are achieved, while the integrity rate of key equipment, mechanical durability, interlock operation rate, and automatic control operation rate reach their best levels ever. Adhere to a problem-oriented approach and improve the evaluation system based on world-class standards. Three dimensions, 7 sub-dimensions, and 26 evaluation indicators were established. Keep a close eye on abnormalities and fluctuations, analyze the causes of these fluctuations in conjunction with changes in daily production volume, develop lists for addressing issues, and continuously improve economic and technical indicators to ensure that equipment and processes operate at their optimal conditions and performance levels.
