The gasification unit of this project is located in the Tuoketuo Industrial Park in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia. It is the first coal gasification and syngas supply project invested, constructed, and operated by Air Products and Chemicals in China on its own, and it also constitutes the core area of the 1 million-ton coal-to-ethylene glycol project developed through Sino-U.S. cooperation. The gasification unit is equipped with 4 coal powder feed tanks, each with a length of 17.8 m and a weight of 110.6 t. For the lifting operation, a 750-t crawler crane was used as the main lifting device, while a 250-t crawler crane was used to assist in guiding the tanks; the lifting height was approximately 42 m, with the tanks being lowered from the openings in the top of the gasification framework to the equipment foundations at a height of 8 m. The installation through lifting this time marks the official start of the lifting of large-scale equipment for the project.
