Urea price trends across China on April 10 Author/Source: Yuege Agri-Materials Network Date: 2020-04-10 Clicks: 16 The domestic urea market continued to show a steady or slightly upward trend; market activity was fairly good. Downstream buyers, influenced by the tendency to buy when prices rise and avoid purchases when they fall, placed orders in moderation. Downstream manufacturers of plywood and compound fertilizers maintained a reasonable level of production activity, placing orders as needed. At the same time, some supplies were sent to ports for export, leading to an increase in new orders from companies. This supported lower-end prices in the market. Today, some manufacturers in Shandong, Hebei, Henan, Jiangsu, Shanxi and other regions raised their prices by 10–20 yuan per ton. It is expected that the domestic urea market will remain stable in the short term, with manufacturers adjusting their prices flexibly based on their own sales performance. Hualu Hengsheng’s medium-sized particles are priced at 1690 (a rise of 10), while large-sized particles cost 1950 (a rise of 20); Hebei Dongguang’s small-sized particles are priced at 1720 (no change), and large-sized particles cost 1950 (no change); Henan Xinlianxin’s products are priced at 1700 (a rise of 10); Shanxi Fengxi’s products are priced at 1600 (no change); Jiangsu Linggu’s products are priced at 1750 (no change); Anhui Haoyuan’s products are priced at 1760 (a rise of 20); Inner Mongolia Boda’s products are priced at 1470 (no change); Shaanxi Shanhua’s local sales products are priced at 1656 (no change); Xinjiang Yankuang’s products are priced at 1400 (no change). In Shandong province, the ex-factory price for small and medium-sized particles is 1,690–1,750 yuan per ton; the prevailing transaction price is around 1,660–1,680 yuan per ton. In Linyi, the market price for such particles is 1,750 yuan per ton, while in Heze it ranges from 1,730–1,740 yuan per ton. Some companies have raised their prices by 10 yuan per ton. In Hebei, the ex-factory price for small particles is around 1,700–1,720 yuan per ton, with the prevailing transaction price at around 1,680–1,690 yuan per ton. The ex-factory price for large particles is around 1,940–1,950 yuan per ton, with some companies raising their prices by 20 yuan per ton. In Henan, the mainstream ex-factory price for small and medium-sized particles is 1,700–1,750 yuan per ton, though some companies have increased their prices by 1 yuan per ton. In Anhui, the mainstream ex-factory price for small particles is around 1,730–1,780 yuan per ton, with prices remaining stable for now. In Jiangsu, the mainstream price for small and medium-sized particles is around 1,750–1,760 yuan per ton, with some companies raising their prices by 10 yuan per ton. In Shanxi, the price for small particles sold externally is around 1,600–1,650 yuan per ton, while the price for large particles under new orders is around 1,700–1,710 yuan per ton. Some companies have raised their prices by 10–20 yuan per ton. In Inner Mongolia, the mainstream price for small and medium-sized particles sold externally is around 1,490–1,550 yuan per ton, while the price for large particles is around 1,750–1,780 yuan per ton, with prices remaining stable. In Hubei, the mainstream ex-factory price for small particles is around 1,750–1,800 yuan per ton, with prices remaining stable. In Shaanxi, the mainstream local sales price for small and medium-sized particles is 1,650 yuan per ton, with prices remaining stable. In Guangxi, the mainstream wholesale price for small and medium-sized particles is around 1,850–1,860 yuan per ton, with prices remaining stable. In Sichuan, the ex-factory price for small and medium-sized particles is around 1,720–1,800 yuan per ton, with prices remaining stable. In Guangdong, the mainstream wholesale price for small particles is around 1,850–1,870 yuan per ton, with prices increased by 10 yuan per ton. In Xinjiang, the transaction price at the factory is around 1,380–1,500 yuan per ton, with prices remaining stable. In Jilin, the price for small particles containing urea is 1,980 yuan per ton. Prices remain stable. The transaction price for small-grain urea in Heilongjiang is around 1,790 yuan per ton; prices remain stable as well. The freight-cost-based price for small-grain urea in Liaoning ranges from 1,720 to 1,770 yuan per ton, with the actual transaction price subject to negotiation. At the factory level, those that have received orders for shipment to ports are experiencing reduced short-term pressure, which has led to a slight increase in prices; however, the overall price levels remain stable. Some factories have temporarily reduced production, and since they were able to purchase materials at low prices earlier on, the pressure at present is not significant. In terms of the market, due to low levels of inventory in society, spot transactions are performing well, while there is little enthusiasm for new futures purchases. Agricultural activities to address remaining gaps in the North China market provided short-term support for the market this week. Affected by the supply of low-priced products from factories in Inner Mongolia and Shanxi, transaction prices in the Southern Market have dropped. Activity in the Northeast market is increasing, while there is still a certain shortage in the Heilongjiang market. Internationally, the latest prices in global markets are not favorable, showing a slight downward trend, which does not provide any sustained positive impetus for the domestic market at present. It is expected that market prices will remain weakly stable in the short term. Once the printed price is established, it serves as a benchmark for the domestic market, helping to stabilize prices; traders are more enthusiastic about making purchases compared to before. During the high-nitrogen fertilizer production season for compound fertilizer factories, demand for plywood remains relatively stable, while agricultural demand continues to be weak. In the short term, the domestic urea market is showing stability with an upward trend, but in the medium to long term, negative factors will continue to dominate the outlook.
