From January to March, China exported a total of 5.4 million tons of fertilizers, a 6% decrease on a year-on-year basis; the total export value was 1.15 billion US dollars, representing a 27.8% decline compared to the previous year. Looking at the four main types of fertilizer exports, exports of sulfuric acid ammonia, monoammonium phosphate, and diammonium phosphate all increased in March, while urea exports declined. In March, China exported 770,000 tons of sulfuric acid AN, a year-on-year increase of 46.7%; from January to March, the total export volume of sulfuric acid AN was 1.74 million tons, representing a year-on-year increase of 18.4%. In March, China exported a total of 350,000 tons of monoammonium phosphate, a year-on-year increase of 57%. From January to March, the cumulative exports of monoammonium phosphate reached 580,000 tons, up 32.4% compared to the same period last year. In March, China exported 550,000 tons of diammonium phosphate, a 41% increase on a year-on-year basis; from January to March, the total export volume of diammonium phosphate was 810,000 tons, representing a 27% decline on a year-on-year basis. In March, China exported 270,000 tons of urea, a decrease of 18.2% on a year-on-year basis; from January to March, the total export volume of urea was 790,000 tons, representing a 39.9% decline compared to the previous year. In terms of imports, China imported 960,000 tons of fertilizers in March, a decrease of 19.3% on a year-on-year basis; from January to March, the total import volume of fertilizers was 2.66 million tons, representing a 23.1% decline compared to the previous year. Among them, potassium chloride had the highest import volume. In March, its imports amounted to 770,000 tons, a year-on-year decrease of 6.1%. From January to March, the cumulative imports totaled 2.07 million tons, down 30% compared to the same period last year. The second-largest category in terms of imports was nitrogen-phosphorus-potassium compound fertilizers, with 170,000 tons imported in March, representing a year-on-year increase of 54.5%; the cumulative imports from January to March amounted to 390,000 tons, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 9.7%.
