Yueneng Chemical Successfully Completes Commissioning of the Purification Unit’s Purge Air Compressor – Author/Source: Weiyueneng Chemical; Date: 10-08-2020; Clicks: 7. On October 8th, good news came from Yueneng Chemical regarding the purification unit: the purge air compressor for this unit was successfully commissioned, which lays a solid foundation for proceeding with the subsequent testing of the purification unit. It is understood that this purge air compressor is a pneumatic fan, whose primary function is to supply purge air to the complex iron reactor in the sulfur purification and recovery system, thereby preventing sulfur buildup from blocking the equipment and pipelines. This compressor does not require the use of any external media such as electricity, oil, steam, or water during operation, and it boasts many advantages including low noise levels, small space requirements, low cost, and few malfunctions. The 241D temperature and pressure reduction station for utility systems has been successfully put into operation. Recently, the 241D temperature and pressure reduction station at the thermal power unit of Yueneng Chemical’s Utility Systems Improvement Center was successfully commissioned, which helped to alleviate the shortage of steam required for S2 processes in various units, thereby providing more favorable conditions for the purging of those units. It is understood that this temperature and pressure reduction station is primarily used to reduce the temperature and pressure of the steam from S1 before supplying it to the users at S2. During the holiday period, the staff working on this unit worked overtime to conduct thorough inspections and adjustments of the relevant parameters. The personnel on duty actively coordinated with other units, completing the commissioning of the 241D temperature and pressure reduction station before the 6# boiler was put into operation. This ensured that the steam from the boiler was distributed accurately to various units, while also improving the efficiency of steam utilization and the cleaning effectiveness of those units. As of the time of writing, all operational parameters of the 241D temperature and pressure reduction station are satisfactory, and subsequent tasks are progressing steadily.
