Traders are selling at a moderate pace, with downstream buyers purchasing according to their needs. The prevailing transaction price in Linfen, Shanxi has dropped by 20–30 yuan per ton, reaching 2140–2160 yuan per ton for cash delivery ； In the Changzhi area, the price is 2,220 yuan per ton, with delivery against cash payment ； The prevailing transaction price in the Jincheng area has stabilized at 2,200 yuan per ton, with cash payment upon delivery. Currently, there is no market price for methanol in the Qinghai region. Due to winter gas supply restrictions, all major gas-based production facilities in Qinghai are currently shut down for maintenance. Production is expected to resume in March 2021. The methanol market in Henan is operating in a stable manner, with moderate trading activity within the market. In Hebi, Henan, as well as in Zhongxin, the bidding sales prices increased by 10–15 yuan per ton compared to January 12; the final transaction prices were 2240–2245 yuan per ton. The quotes from other companies remained stable, with the actual ex-plant price ranging between 2250–2260 yuan per ton ； The quoted price for the Luoyang market is around 2,250 yuan per ton. The mainstream reference price for methanol in the Anhui region remains stable at 2,330–2,400 yuan per ton for delivery against acceptance; futures are weak, there is a strong tendency for caution among market participants, and demand is primarily driven by essential needs. The methanol market in the Two Lakes region is operating steadily for now, with moderate trading activity in the market. Hubei-based companies are offering stable prices; orders are being fulfilled with shipments, and the actual ex-factory price is around 2400–2420 yuan per ton ； The quoted price for the Hunan market is around 2,550–2,560 yuan per ton. The methanol market in Fujian remains stable overall. The spot prices at the major storage areas in Quanzhou and Xiamen are around 2600–2620 yuan per ton, including taxes, at the time of delivery from the warehouses. Suppliers tend to hold their prices steady, and market activity is moderate.
