Throughout the year, all employees in the urea production plant worked to maintain quality and increase output, ensuring the high-quality and stable operation of the facility. With safety and environmental protection as the foundation, both production volume and quality have been improved. The urea production plant experienced no safety or environmental incidents in 2021, successfully meeting the company’s and the plant’s goals in these areas. In terms of safety, while carrying out routine safety tasks, the workshop leverages various safety inspections to enhance its overall safety management level. Strengthen the study of major and severe accidents involving hazardous chemicals both domestically and internationally; enhance the safety management of special operations during emergency repairs and maintenance work; improve the safety of on-site construction for the three technical improvement projects related to the upgrade of particle coolers, bag handling systems, and dust collectors; strengthen the management of contractors by implementing a system of risk deposits as well as immediate rewards and penalties. In response to the issues identified during the inspection for the development of enterprises at the first level of safety standardization, proactive corrective actions were taken by drawing lessons from these issues, in order to effectively improve the level of safety standardization management in the workshops. In terms of environmental protection, efforts are made continuously to ensure proper environmental safeguards during the shutdown and startup of the plant; environmental protection protocols for such operations are strictly followed, and low-pressure startup methods without venting are used whenever the plant is started up. During each shutdown for maintenance, the dust recovery system of the granulation tower cleans all nozzles and removes debris from the screens, thereby ensuring an effective dust removal performance. Maintenance of the dust collectors has been strengthened, and the FD106 dust collector at the transfer station has been upgraded. This has improved the dust removal efficiency while also ensuring that the quarterly environmental monitoring standards are met. Separate treatment is implemented for wastewater from drainage systems, achieving zero wastewater discharge during normal production. Identifying potential hazards improves efficiency and ensures the stable operation of the equipment. The urea production workshop conducts thorough inspections for potential hazards every Monday; over the course of the year, more than 300 such hazards were identified, of which six posed a threat to the safe and stable operation of production. Thanks to timely detection and prompt handling, the urea plant has been able to operate at a high capacity for an extended period throughout the year, with continuous and stable performance. To ensure a stable and high output of urea, the workshop requires that each shift produce no less than 600 tons of urea, with a daily output of at least 1,800 tons. In March, the urea production volume reached 56,702 tons, setting a new record for the highest monthly output on record. In November, the workshop further stabilized daily production at around 1,830 tons, laying the foundation for annual output to exceed 600,000 tons and striving to reach over 610,000 tons. Achieving product diversification to meet market demands: As the market develops, there has been an increasing need for diversified urea products. Weihua Company actively responds to these market demands by continuously developing new products. Vehicle-grade urea, peptide-methionine-zinc urea, and peptide-methionine-zinc-boron urea have all been shipped by train to various parts of the country. Additionally, according to the feedback from market research on urea sales conducted by the Marketing and Distribution Department, there is a high and stable demand for urea packed in bulk bags. This presents an excellent opportunity to meet market needs. Upon approval and implementation of the project, the urea production workshop immediately began producing urea in bulk bags; throughout the year, a total of 11,817 tons of urea were packaged in such bags. The diversified development of urea products helps the group company to avoid internal and external risks, enable it to gain a firm foothold in the current market and product landscape, and thus ensure its continued survival and growth ; When the existing products or market scope are limited, the diversification of urea products enables the group company to find new sources of growth in other product lines or market areas, thereby compensating for losses and achieving a stable and effective pattern of development.
