The ammonia synthesis tower for the Hubei Yunhuaan project was hoisted into place. According to information from 16th Chemical Construction Company, at 12 p.m. on October 17, 2020, the core equipment in the ammonia synthesis unit area of the company’s Hubei Yunhuaan ammonia synthesis project – the ammonia synthesis tower – was successfully hoisted into place. The successful lifting of the ammonia synthesis tower created the conditions for the project to start operations on schedule. The technical upgrade for ammonia synthesis involves the use of multi-nozzle gasification technology in the new plant site, as well as integrated cryogenic air separation units, low-temperature methanol washing and liquid nitrogen washing processes, along with ammonia synthesis, in order to produce 300,000 tons of ammonia per year and meet the ammonia demand of both the old and new plant sites.
