Release of Big Data on China’s Phosphorus Fertilizer Industry in 2025

On April 22, Fang Junwen, deputy director of the Information Department of the China Phosphorus Fertilizer Industry Association, presented the big data on China’s phosphorus fertilizer industry for 2025 at the 2026 Fertilizer Market and International Trade Seminar. Overall, the total national phosphate fertilizer production capacity in 2025 will be 22 million tons in terms of pure content, remaining unchanged on a year-on-year basis ； The total national production of phosphate fertilizers was 18.692 million tons, an increase of 4.9% on a year-on-year basis ； The top 5 provinces and municipalities in terms of production are Hubei Province, Yunnan Province, Guizhou Province, Sichuan Province, and Anhui Province. The top 10 phosphate fertilizer manufacturers in terms of production volume are Yunnan Yuntianhua Group Co., Ltd., Guizhou Phosphorus Chemical (Group) Co., Ltd., Xinyangfeng Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., Hubei Yihua Group Co., Ltd., Hubei Xiangyun (Group) Chemical Co., Ltd., Yunnan Xiangfeng Fertilizer Co., Ltd., Chengdu Yuntu Holding Co., Ltd., Hubei Sanning Chemical Co., Ltd., Sichuan Longmang Group Co., Ltd., and Anhui Liuguo Chemical Co., Ltd. The combined production of the top 10 phosphate fertilizer manufacturers amounts to 11.846 million tons in terms of pure content, accounting for 63.4% of the total. The top 10 producers of diammonium phosphate in terms of physical output are Yunnan Yuntianhua Group Co., Ltd., Guizhou Phosphorus Chemical (Group) Co., Ltd., Hubei Yihua Group Co., Ltd., Yunnan Xiangfeng Industrial Group Co., Ltd., Hubei Xingfa Chemical Group Co., Ltd., Anhui Liuguo Chemical Co., Ltd., Hubei Dongsheng Chemical Group Co., Ltd., Hubei Dayukou Chemical Co., Ltd., Sinochem Fertilizer Co., Ltd., and Hubei Sanning Chemical Co., Ltd. The total production of the top 10 ammonium diphosphate manufacturers amounts to 13.77 million tons in terms of physical volume, accounting for 94.6% of the total. The top 10 manufacturers of monoammonium phosphate by production volume are Xinyangfeng Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., Hubei Xiangyun (Group) Chemical Co., Ltd., Yunnan Yuntianhua Group Co., Ltd., Guizhou Phosphorus Chemical (Group) Co., Ltd., Chengdu Yuntu Holding Co., Ltd., Stanley Agricultural Group Co., Ltd., Anhui Sierte Fertilizer Co., Ltd., Sichuan Development Longmang Co., Ltd., Jindal Green Engineering Group Co., Ltd., and Hubei Ezhong Ecological Engineering Co., Ltd. The combined production of the top 10 ammonium phosphate manufacturers amounts to 10.507 million tons in terms of physical volume, accounting for 59.4% of the total. The top 15 compound fertilizer manufacturers in the country are Xinyangfeng Agricultural Technology Co., Ltd., Stanley Agricultural Group Co., Ltd., Chengdu Yuntu Holding Co., Ltd., Shikefeng Chemical Co., Ltd., Henan Xinlianxin Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd., Hubei Ezhong Ecological Engineering Co., Ltd., Yunnan Yuntianhua Group Co., Ltd., Jindazhongda Ecological Engineering Group Co., Ltd., Hubei Sanning Chemical Co., Ltd., Zhongyan Anhui Hongsisifang Fertilizer Co., Ltd., Sinochem Fertilizer Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Zhongdong Fertilizer Co., Ltd., Jiangxi Kaimenzi Fertilizer Group Co., Ltd., CNOOC Chemical Co., Ltd., and Guizhou Xiyang Industrial Co., Ltd. The total production of the top 15 compound fertilizer manufacturers amounted to 32.442 million tons in terms of physical volume, accounting for 54.1% of the total.
Based on the data, the phosphate compound fertilizer industry is indeed showing a trend of steady growth in 2025. Particular attention is drawn to the significant production advantages of provinces such as Hubei, Yunnan, and Guizhou, which is likely related to the abundant local phosphate mineral resources. It is recommended to pay attention to the annual reports of leading companies such as Yuntianhua and Guizhou Phosphorus, as they usually contain more detailed market analyses and future plans. Additionally, it would be better if export data could be provided, as international trade is also an important part of this industry.
