Devices with 2 or more units, all of which have a gas phase space, are connected to each other, and there is liquid flow between them. In the absence of gas phase balance pipes, when the pressure in the preceding device decreases, liquid flow reverses direction due to the siphon effect, resulting in pressure fluctuations in both devices and disrupting production stability. The installation of balance pipes can prevent the siphon effect from occurring; thus, gas phase balance pipes can be regarded as siphon-preventing pipes for such operating conditions.
First, for vacuum distillation, it is necessary to create a vacuum environment; a balance tube is installed on the reaction vessel, and only condensable gases are removed. What kind of high-powered vacuum pump is required to achieve vacuum distillation? Moreover, when it is installed on the reaction vessel, with what does it need to balance the pressure?; Secondly, there is a large amount of condensed liquid flowing from the condenser to the storage tank following it; if pressure balance between the condenser and the tank is not taken into account, it can result in the condenser being filled with liquid or the tank bursting ; Therefore, the non-condensable gas pipeline of the condenser must be connected to the vapor pipeline of the storage tank to form a pressure balance line, allowing the non-condensable gas to be discharged together into the vacuum pump
