Huanqiu 6 Construction delivered two deethanization towers to CNOOC Deep Sea Development Co., Ltd

Recently, two deethanization towers custom-built by Huanqiu Liu Construction Equipment Manufacturing Branch for CNOOC Deep Sea Development Co., Ltd. were successfully delivered. They will be integrated into the natural gas processing system at the Zhuhai Gaolan terminal, thereby enabling more efficient utilization of deep-sea energy through high-performance equipment. It is reported that the scope of work for the deethanizer tower includes the design and procurement of the tower structure and its internal components, equipment manufacturing and installation of those components, labor protection measures, as well as anti-corrosion, insulation, and cooling treatments. Based on the design parameters provided by Party A, low-temperature steel is used for this batch of equipment to meet the design temperature requirements of -68°C at the upper part and 120°C at the lower part of the tower. The deadline is tight and the standards are strict. Full-process monitoring is implemented by the quality team, with a 100% pass rate for PAUT phased array testing at the key welding stages. With the collaborative efforts of all parties involved, the two deethanization towers were successfully manufactured within a timeline of 59 days, being delivered 21 days ahead of the schedule stipulated in the contract. They passed all certifications required by the classification society and the special inspection agency on the first attempt, earning high praise from the client.
