The design boundary for process pipelines is usually 1 meter outside the boundary zone; then where is the stress calculation boundary for process pipelines?
I’m not sure what software you use for the calculations; determining the boundaries depends on how you define the scope of the piping system – generally, the fixed ends of the pipes (such as fixed supports) are used as a reference. If the open end is chosen, then the deformation displacement of that open section in its hot state must be provided; however, since the deformation of the open section is influenced by the stresses on both sides, choosing a fixed end for the pipe can reduce the number of quantities that need to be determined. Although the fixed-end boundary means that the resulting forces must be combined into stresses on both sides of the fixed end, the effect of deformation on the calculations can at least be ignored.
Who provides the data for the first fixed point outside the boundary area?
It’s the person who takes over that tube who is responsible for providing it; we usually set it up as fixed-point ANC directly
The first fixed point outside the boundary zone is designed by the main design institute responsible for the pipelines outside the zone. Therefore, the boundary for stress calculation of process pipelines and flexibility analysis of pipelines within the area can only be the fixed support at the last pipeline support column before leaving the area (the unit).
