First, it is necessary to determine to which category – A, B, C, D, or E – the warehouse belongs. Employee dormitories and rest rooms are strictly prohibited in warehouses of categories A and B, while warehouses of categories C and D must meet certain conditions. Article 3.3.9 of the Code for Fire Protection Design of Buildings GB50016-2014 (2018 edition) stipulates that employee dormitories are strictly prohibited from being located within warehouses. Offices, rest rooms, etc. are strictly prohibited from being located within Class A or Class B warehouses, nor should they be situated adjacent to them. When offices and rest rooms are located within Class C or D warehouses, they should be separated from other areas by fire-resistant partition walls with a fire resistance rating of not less than 2.50 hours and floors with a fire resistance rating of 1.00 hour, and separate safety exits should be provided. When doors that are interconnected need to be installed in partition walls, Class B fire doors should be used. Article 6.3 of the \"General Rules for Fire Safety Management in Warehousing Facilities\" XF1131-2014 stipulates that employee dormitories shall not be installed in indoor storage areas. Offices shall not be located in indoor storage areas for Category A and Category B items. Where offices are indeed necessary in other indoor storage areas, their fire resistance rating should be grade 1 or 2, and the doors and windows should lead directly outside the warehouse.
