The vacuum tower uses a vacuum pump to create a vacuum; the waste gas generated is sent to the alkali scrubber for cleaning. At the top of the alkali scrubber, an exhaust fan is used to remove the cleaned waste gas into the atmosphere. If only the exhaust fan has a backup power supply while the vacuum pump does not, could air flow back into the vacuum tower in case the vacuum pump stops suddenly?
This situation occurs during operation, and it is possible for air to enter the vacuum tower in the reverse direction.
Air will definitely flow back into the vacuum system, which is under negative pressure. When the vacuum system loses power, it can no longer maintain that vacuum state, and as a result air will flow back into the system. Solution: Add a check valve.

The vacuum units we use are equipped with butterfly valves that close automatically when power is cut off. Moreover, the vacuum unit is equipped with a check valve, which can close as long as nothing is blocking it
It is best to add an interlock system; after the vacuum pump stops, an electromagnetic valve should be installed to close it directly, thereby preventing air from entering. Ordinary check valves are hardly capable of ensuring no leakage. Add a solenoid valve as an extra safety measure
Seeing that it goes into the alkali scrubber later, the waste gas should be acidic. What kind of vacuum unit is being used? Is it corrosion-resistant?
