The first cooling stage of the reactor uses circulating water, while the second cooling stage uses 7-degree water. There is corrosion in the condensate; a water ring vacuum pump is connected afterward. To meet environmental requirements, another condenser is added after the pump, and the system that is not resistant to corrosion is connected after that condenser. There is not enough space at the location behind the reactor vessel; some have suggested combining the second cooler with the condenser located after the pump into one unit to be placed on the main pipeline before the pump. Would this approach meet environmental regulations?
The pressures at the inlet and outlet of a vacuum pump are different, which results in different saturation temperatures for the materials that need to be condensed. The effectiveness of installing condensers before and after the vacuum pump varies as well; therefore, what you suggest might not work, and environmental protection agencies would not approve it either.
It’s not quite suitable; it would be better to consider the size of the condenser and the selection of the vacuum pump.
