For liquid ammonia, a simple water bath evaporator is usually sufficient, with steam/hot water/electricity available as heating media. Ammonia water is relatively more complex; there are mainly two processes, one of which is complete evaporation, that is, the complete vaporization of ammonia water. Another method is distillation, which involves evaporating the ammonia from ammonia water. Different processes result in significant differences in procedures and controls, as well as entirely different equipment.
