Hydrorefining loss

Regarding the losses in the hydrorefining process, I have consulted many sources, and all indicate that the losses are low, generally not exceeding 3%. But why is our device so tall? A loss of nearly 5%. It’s impossible to find out where these losses are. I would like to ask the experts: what factors could possibly lead to increased losses? How to reduce losses? In addition to hydrogen consumption in the reactions, losses occur at the flanges of the equipment pipelines and at the sealing gaskets of the compressors； Waste hydrogen displacement ； Hydrogen dissolved in the oil and gas is removed. There is a noticeable leak at the compressor packing in our unit.
