How should freezing of fire steam and fire water be prevented in winter? Our unit cuts off the supply, but I feel that’s not a sufficient solution; I’m not sure what others do

This problem is indeed more pronounced in the northern regions; no matter how good the insulation is, temperatures dropping below minus ten degrees still cause freezing. There are already good practices that can be followed in this regard. If those measures don’t work, then either steam or fire-fighting water can be used to ensure a continuous flow of water or steam. Alternatively, the systems can be switched on and off at regular intervals during inspections – this issue can be avoided through proper design from the outset. Another option is to make improvements to prevent freezing in winter or to avoid any accidental injuries.
