In the absence of complete hydraulic calculations, what is a convenient and simple method for determining the diameters of the flare lines and the pipelines before and after the safety valves? How did you decide on those diameters? What is the typical value for pipe velocity?
Determined based on the back pressure of the safety valve and the pressure drop in the flare network.
