As I recall, molecular sieves are very hard, have a regular shape, and hardly shed any powder. A few days ago, some imported molecular sieves arrived; their shapes were extremely varied – particles ranging from 2.3 to 5.5 mm in size were all mixed together. Basically, none of them were regular spheres, and many of them were already partially damaged. When touched, they released a lot of powder. It is suspected to have been used, replaced from the air separation PSA? Could those with experience give some guidance?

It is used for gas purification. It’s too exaggerated; it seems like it’s been activated by repeated heating, and then the contents from different containers have been mixed together

In our air separation units, the molecular sieves are spherical in shape, but they are quite hard and show no signs of dispersion; this indicates that their quality is very poor – it seems they have been used before
The quality is poor; the good ones are more or less of the same size, there’s no powder, and it’s very dry.
