Butyl tape is an environmentally friendly, solvent-free sealing and bonding material made by blending main raw materials such as butyl rubber and polyisobutylene, using a special production formula and the latest patented technologies, as well as high-quality specialty polymers (imported), through a specific manufacturing process. So, what are the regulations for applying butyl tape? The construction regulations are as follows: General Provisions (1) These regulations apply to sealing and waterproofing projects for civil structure roofs and metal sheet surfaces, where tape is used as a bonding material for waterproof membranes, metal profiled sheets, PC panels, and other related materials. (2) When designing or using tape, it shall be done in accordance with relevant regulations or by referring to our company’s corporate standards. General provisions: (1) Construction must be carried out within a temperature range of -15°C to 45°C; appropriate measures must be taken if the temperature falls outside this range. (2) The surface of the base layer must be cleaned or wiped thoroughly, kept dry, and free from dust or oil stains. (3) The bond area must not tear or peel off within 24 hours after construction. (4) Select Yongxing tapes of different models and specifications according to the actual project requirements. (5) Place the boxes at a height of about 10 cm above the ground; do not stack more than 5 boxes. Construction tools: cleaning tools, scissors, rollers, wallpaper cutters, etc. Usage requirements: (1) The bonding surface must be clean, free of oil, dust, moisture, and water vapor. (2) To ensure adhesive strength, the base surface temperature should be above 5°C; special production can be carried out in specific low-temperature environments. (3) When in use, peel back the tape in a circle before using it. (4) Do not use simultaneously with waterproof materials containing organic substances such as benzene, toluene, methanol, ethylene, and silica gel. Process features: (1) Easy and fast construction. When using Yongxing tape for installation, it should be bonded in one go, with the substrate surface kept clean. (2) The construction environment requires ample space. Normal construction can be carried out at an ambient temperature of -15°C to 45°C and a humidity level below 80%, allowing for strong environmental adaptability. (3) The repair process is simple and reliable. A single-sided tape is sufficient for large leakage areas.
