Discussion on the installation of import and export valves for equipment, processes, and materials

Please discuss whether valves should be installed at the inlet and outlet points for the process materials of typical equipment such as unit containers, tower equipment, heat exchangers, air coolers, compressors, etc., in accordance with the process requirements; there will be rewards for those who participate!

Unit containers should be equipped with valves; tower equipment seems to not require them. For heat exchangers, it depends on the situation – for example, in cases where the pressure is high, it’s certainly better to have as few leakage points as possible. I’m not very familiar with air coolers; the compressor inlet should have filters, check valves, and so on
Unit containers should be equipped with valves. It serves as an isolation blind plate when necessary, facilitating tasks such as hot work maintenance and access to towers and tanks.
